Carl Rocco Borrelli, 75

Carl Rocco Borrelli, 75, of Woodbridge and Palm Beach Gardens Florida died at home Thursday Dec. 13, 2012. He was the devoted husband of Dorothy Husti Borrelli for 55 years.

Carl was born in Hamden Mar.24, 1937 son of Dominic and Concetta La Porte Borrelli. He was the former owner and president of Borrelli, Consolidated and All-Brite Electric Companies that installed major electrical installations through out the state of Connecticut. He was the former president of the National Electrical Contractors in Connecticut, Vice Chairman and founding director of the Bank of Southern Connecticut.

Carl was a former Captain in the Conn. National Guard, his last assignment was as company commander of the 141st Medical Company at Hartford. He was a former Cubmaster of Pack 1 Woodbridge and baseball coach in the Woodbridge Fathers League.

Carl loved to play golf and was a former member at Race Brook Country Club and Sandelfoot Mens Club in Florida, he also enjoyed skeet shooting. Carl was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge no 37 and the Knights of Columbus Holy Infant Council no 12523. He enjoyed many years of travel, especially visiting Italy and reconnecting with relatives there.

Carl was a fan of the West Haven Twilight League. He was an avid weekly card player and took pleasure in trips to the casinos.

A dedicated family man, in addition to his wife Dorothy, he is survived by three daughters, Carla Borrelli (William Boegly) of Hixon, Tenn. Donna of Woodbridge and Ann (Harlan) Denny of Orange; two sons, Stephen (Helen) Borrelli of Branford and Paul (Maria) of Orange; Grandchildren Nicholas Boegly, Shannon, Rebecca and Allison Denny, Teresa and Giana Borrelli, Stephen Borrelli, Nicholas and Maria Salatto, and a brother, Raymond Borrelli of Hamden.

He was predeceased by brothers Louis and Dominic Borrelli, sisters Rosemarie Conradi and Dolores Borrelli.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Ann's Soup Kitchen or the American Lung Associationext.

Friends are invited to go directly to our Lady of the Assumption Church, Center Rd., Woodbridge, Tuesday morning for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. and may call Monday at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Reported by Patch 10 hours ago.
